[He was with Danny. Fighting off the reavers. But when he heard his name cried over the coms, he barely even said his good byes to the boy. She said she'd be at the warehouse...but...he couldn't feel her from there.]

Xi! Xi where are you!?

*The screaming continues along with other sounds.*

[And he can feel panic starting to build in his chest, but he pushes it back. First thing was getting to her. From there he could work with what would happen.

He uses what little energy he had as back up to get to Marshall. Closer...easier to sense her...forget the door, just go through the damn window.

His entrance isn't silent as normal, but he's at her side immediately.]

Xi, Xi!

*And it was for THIS REASON why she didn't want to cover up all the windows. The sound of Reavers could be heard outside the door to the apartments but the doors were all barricaded.

The sight that greets Leo is probably one that he wouldn't expect.

Sai was on the ground, screaming at the top of her lungs, arching and writhing in pain with her eyes rolling back so that the whites of her eyes can be clearly seen.

No, she doesn't acknowledge Leo being there yet.*

He hadn't been expecting something like this, but he couldn't let his surprise override his instincts. He narrowed his eyes and carefully knelt next to her. If her writing caused her to hit him, he didn't feel it. His vision had tunneled, all that he was hearing and seeing was Xi.

Gently he grips her arm, moving with her, trying his hardest not to cause her anymore pain then she was going through already. When he had been told about the reset, the only thing he had thought about was how much it was going to hurt to have her forget him.

This was worse then that. So much worst, and Leo couldn't fully understand why.

"Xi...come on, focus on me."

If he wasn't careful enough, she was hitting him due to her writhing. She continues to scream in pain but not writhing as much due to him holding her arms.

Someone... Anyone... PLEASE! PLEASE save her from this!

The arching, screaming and writhing only lasts a few more moments before a moment of peace is given. Her eyes roll back to their proper place as she goes to take a deep breath.

"Le... Leo?"

He didn't feel it anyways, but when he hears her say his name...the slightest smile crosses his face. She was still there; still able to tell who he was. He still had time.

"Yeah...I told you. I wouldn't let you go through this alone. I promised."

Leo rarely made promises, if only because circumstances rarely let him keep to his words. This one was different, he would let nothing break this promise. Even if it tore him apart from the inside out.

He tightened his grip a little, shifting Xi onto his lap.

"Don't worry."

She lets him move her however he wants. Despite the pain she was in and her voice was dripping in the pain with each word spoken.

"I rememberrrr.... I remember Leo..."

She goes to offer him a smile before moving her head to rest against his shoulder.

"I am scarrrred Leo....I am so scared."

Tears started to form in her eyes to fall and she couldn't help but to start shaking. To have this much strength in facing this has only strengthened with Leo's presence.

He tucks her head under his chin, holding her waist with one hand and rubbing her back with the other. The small wet drops against his shoulders make him tighten his hold briefly.

"You don't have to be." His voice is strong and steady. Taking his role as pillar to heart, even if he wanted to just shake along with her. He couldn't let her go with such fear in her heart.

"You'll come back. It'll heart now, but only for a little bit."

She keeps her eyes open, not this time... No, she won't close her eyes if she can help it. To close means to die and she cannot die... Not yet.

"I am still scared."

She reaches over to touch his arm.

"If it will be m-?!"

She goes to start screaming again, her body trying to arch and writhe again as her eyes once more goes to roll back into her head.

He strains to hold her against him. Ignoring the writhing arms and trying to sooth the pain away as well as he could. He felt hopeless, unable to stop this or make some sort of a difference.

The only thing he could really do was make sure she knew she wasn't alone.

Her body continues to writhe as well as the screaming. Her claws accidentally scratching his arms.

"MY BRAIN!!! IT'S TEARING APART!!"

[Harry-mom is not okay with this. Screaming is not good. She mewls in distress and disappears into another room, then peeks back out. Are you still screaming? D: ]

His hand moves up to the back of her head, gently massaging it. Trying anything he can think of to stop whatever pain she had. Maybe some deep part of him was also trying to stop this whole ordeal. That by stopping the pain, he could keep her for just a little longer.

His hand are starting to shake slightly with the effort to hold her still, but he wasn't going to give up. Even if it took all his strength. He would keep her safe. Keep her whole as long as he could.

*The screaming continued for a few more moments before coming to a stop. Sai turns her head to look towards Harry mom and reaches out a hand towards the mother cat.*

The writhing continued for only a couple more minutes before she goes to start taking deep breaths, letting her head lean into the massage.

She goes to look towards him with both a pained and tired expression, lifting a hand to rest against his cheek. Panting from the pain.

"Leo..... Leo I am sorry.... I am so sorrry."

Leo doesn't stop, but he does lean her back a bit to see her face. He tries to smile, but it wouldn't come.

"You don't have to apologize. You've done nothing wrong." He leaned into the hand, realizing that he hadn't flinched at the touch. Shifting slightly, he moves the hand from her waist and settles it over the small hand on his cheek.

Why hadn't he realized how small she was?

She goes to smile as much as she can despite the pain, her body twitching just a little from the pain. Her blue eyes goes to watch him, trying to read his flow.

Her tail curls upwards and she moves it to drape over his arm, trying her best to purr again.

"Thank you, Leonardo. Thank you.

"A little, but it's not your fault." The purr catches him off guard, as usual, but it was more that he didn't think she would have the strength to do it. His flow was cool for once, the part of him that he always used to keep himself in check. He wouldn't break in front of her. Not in any way.

He couldn't send her off knowing he was breaking.

"...you don't have to thank me, Xi." He pulled her closer for a short nuzzle.

It was a weak purr but it was still there. Her eyes move slowly to half-closed, letting her hand never leaving his face, slowly gaining a more peaceful expression on her face.

"Liar." She goes to chuckle out, still purring.

She blinks before purring even more at the short nuzzle, finally closing her eyes. "Leo.... I am still thankful."

"X-xi..." His voice falters for a moment before he just shuts his mouth and presses his cheek into her hand.Thread their fingers he opens his eyes just as she closes hers.

"I'm...glad." He was ignoring the signs. The flickering aura, the strange concentration of energy around her head. He wasn't going to buy it...what had Gracia asked once? Was it better to remember what someone else had forgotten.

"Just hang on. It's almost over."

She keeps her eyes closed before slowly reopening them in order to look into his. She goes to smile for him.

"I know... I know."

She goes to try and either make or keep eye contact with him, still smiling.

"It's kinda funny. I can't think of anything to say... My mind is going blank. But, you are being strrrong so strong right now, Leo." And she was proud of that, very proud of that. She lets out a soft chuckle before trying to move her face closer to his, resting her own against his.

"Leo, I'll wait for you." She moves to try and give him a kiss on the lips but then her eye widen and she goes to let out scream, throwing her head back as she screamed.

[She waits for a few moments to make sure the screaming is done, then comes over. There's the instinct to comfort, because she can sense the pain Sai is in, of course. The screaming is just not good for kitties.

But when she reaches the girl, she's purring. It's a sign for her kittens that says everything is alright.]
