[The communicator clicks on and the sound of a little girl's voice can be heard.]

Where am I? Why is it dark in here? [A small pause] And wet.

Ara? I think that I see a way out.

[But enough of that, there is a more important question to be answered.]

Is there anyone out there?

[ About an hour later, the train begins screeching into view, sparks glittering against the tracks. On the first car closest, the Batman waits for the door to open before poking his head out. ]

All aboard?

[ action ]

[So that is what a train looks like. Sai is by now shivering a little and was hugging herself. Thank goodness nothing came out and when all of a sudden SOMEONE IN BLACK POPS OUT! She jumps a little before recognizing his voice. She gets up from her sitting down position and hurries over to him.]

We can go in?

[And please ignore that HALX inside her right eye.]

[ He offers his hand to her, noting that thing in her eye, but he doesn't ask for now. She looked miserable here. Time to get her back to Discedo. ]

Yeah. Come on. It's not much warmer in here, but it'll do.

[She stares at his hand for a moment before taking it. But she is going to stand very close to him, trying to get some more warmth.]

Why is it so cold?

It's autumn. It's always cold in autumn. [ He leads her to one of the seats, gesturing for her to sit down. ] When the train starts, it'll jerk backward, so just hang on. [ He'd already activated the magnetize feature on the soles of his boots. ]

[Eric finds the subway tunnel. He's sweating and feverish and yet freezing by the time he does. He's swaying on his feet, but determined to find the person who cried for help.

He spots the two getting onto the train and pushes his way on. That has to be the girl, and the man... well... the appearance seems to confirm his worst fears. Naked from the waist up and plainly sick, he walks up to the figure, brandishing his reaper's death scythe (in the form of a handsaw) towards them.]

Here now! Stay away from her!

[ Hearing the sudden shout, Terry immediately gets in front of Sai, turning off the magnetizing feature. He could tell that this guy had obviously seen better days and wasn't physically (or mentally) healthy. ]

Hey, calm down. I'm not going to hurt her.

(Sai blinks as she also hears the shout, after sitting down. But she does recongize the voice.)

Eric-san?

(She's cold and really, she doesn't know who is friend and who is foe... But at least Eric told her his name.)

[Still holding the saw in a weak but clear threatening stance, he turns back to the bat figure.]

Do you think I'm going to believe you dressed like that luring her into the subway?

You've got it all wrong. I'm trying to take her to Discedo. [ He still remains in front of Sai, not wanting her to get hurt if this guy loses it. ]

LJ, why are you not sending me notifications?

[Okay, she isn't sure what is going on but she slips off of the seat, stumbling a little and still dripping wet. She goes try and walk around Terry in order to get a better peak at Eric.]

Ne? What is Discedo?

[Is it a bad place? But that man, Eric-san looks sick and and.... Dangit! Why is it so cold as she shivers again.]

[Eric stays alert, but relaxes his stance some.]

All right. If I've got it wrong, I'll listen. But, if I hear anything that makes me think you're tricking her or taking her against her will...

[He looks around the figure to the girl.]

Are you all right? I'm sorry, I don't want to frighten you but this whole place is bad.

[ Great. Looks like he's being kept on high alert. Whatever, this guy was looking a little loony right now anyway. Terry looks to Sai. ]

Discedo is one of the cities on this other world I told you about. You're in Spero, but we're heading to Discedo now. I don't know all the details, but there are scientists that brought us here for their own purposes. [ He's still trying to figure out what those are... Jacqueline had meant something about 'freedom'. Then again, she sounded a little whacked. ]

I'm Batman, by the way.

[She looks up briefly at Terry with a small nod in acknowledgement before moving towards Eric. Fully intending to reach up to try and take one of his hands in one of her own pale hands. She is still cold to touch.]

Any ideas why we are here then? Why is it dead?

[She has no reason to fear any of the males, they both came to her aid so why should she? When Terry revealed his name, she goes to look towards him.]

Batman? [And at last the first smile since arriving here along with a giggle.] That's a funny name.

[Though... Now she should probably introduce herself but... She goes to look up towards both Eric and Terry.]

Ne? What is my name?

[Eric's completely open to the touch, letting her take his hand at her will.]

Batman? [Eric raises his eyebrows. Ok now he's pretty sure this guy is insane, and the girl is not safe with him. However, the rest sounds pretty rational.]

He's right about where we are though.

[ He tilts his head at Sai, not quite sure what she's asking. ]

What's your name? You don't know? [ Maybe it was the cold... must have been making her delirious. He takes a seat when the train begins to move. He knows telling people that his name is Batman is strange to their ears, especially if they aren't from his world, but still, he'd much rather be known as the vigilante hero than his real name. At least for now. ]

[Sai stumbles a little when the train starts, but doesn't let go of Eric's hand, doing her best to prevent a fight from breaking out.]

I don't know my name.... Never given one.

[She goes to look once more between the men.]

Why were we brought here?

We don't know that. [Next to people telling him they're countries, and people telling him they're bat men, this girl not knowing her name is the least of his concerns, really. He holds onto her hand, patting her wrist with the opposite one.]

I don't know why, and I haven't met anyone who does. I'm sorry.

[He's weak on his feet anyway, so he has to grab onto the handle to keep from falling when the train moves. He's not in good enough condition to be traveling, but this is more important.]

And never mind about your name. Do you remember anything before you came here though?

[He keeps a suspicious eye on the 'bat man']

[ He knows that Sai doesn't know where she came from, but he doesn't intend on interrupting the two. Instead, he stands up, walking along the length of the aisle and looking around. The trains in Neo Gotham were nowhere near this bumpy, but then again the trains in Neo Gotham weren't falling apart from nuclear fallout either.

Or whatever happened here. He watches the walls of the tunnel move past them before pressing two fingers to the side of his cowl, analyzing data he'd scanned earlier. Maps he was putting together. ]

[She frowns a little before trying to lead Eric to a seat for him to sit down on. The wrist pat was comforting to her. She goes to shake her head slowly.]

Nothing... I don't remember anything before coming here.

[Though now Batman has her attention and she looks up at Eric and asks a question that was aimed at the both of them.]

What is Batman doing?

[Eric drops into the seat a little too heavy as he leads her, breaking into a sweat. He doesn't let got of the saw though. He coughs, his breath a little rough.]

I don't know. I haven't been here long, but Discedo seems to be more active and therefore more dangerous. I have a room in Spero. It's safe, if you care to come with me.

[He glances over at the bat man.]

I... don't know.

[ What Eric said stops Terry immediately and he looks at him. ]

Woah. We're leaving Spero. If you want her to stay in your room, then you guys better bail from this train.

[She follows Eric's lead and sits down next to him.]

Spero? Is that where you guys found me?

[Sai frowns a little at now the decision to be made. On one hand, Eric has shown his face while Batman doesn't. But Batman still came for her and so far has been nice to her... She makes a sound and covers her eyes with her free hand. She doesn't know who to go with....

Too many questions and not enough answers and her body isn't stopping with the intake of information. But one thing she knows what she wants for sure, is to be in a warm place and out of her wet clothes. And yes, she is just going to transmit that through a whine to relay all of that.]

[Eric looks at Batman over his blue-tint glasses, clearly annoyed.]

I'm not an idiot. But funny thing, I found a vulnerable young girl being lead onto a subway train by a masked man calling himself in a bat so I decided to get on the train.

[He turns back to her]

Yes, that's Spero. We'll get a train back if you wish.
